Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about ClientN and privacy-first authentication

ClientN is a privacy-first authentication gateway that allows you to sign in to any website or service without sharing your personal information. Instead of using your email, name, or phone number, ClientN creates unique, anonymous identifiers for each site you visit.

Think of it as a universal login that protects your identity while giving you seamless access to online services.

Here's the simple process:

  • When you want to sign up for a website, you scan their QR code or enter a session ID using the ClientN app
  • ClientN instantly creates a unique, anonymous ID specifically for that website
  • The website authenticates you without ever seeing your real identity
  • You get full access to the service while remaining completely anonymous

Each website gets a different ID, so there's no way to track you across different sites.

We're planning to launch in the second half of 2026. We're currently in the development phase and gathering feedback from early supporters to shape the final product.

At launch, ClientN will be available on:

  • iOS (iPhone and iPad)
  • Android
  • Web browser extension (Chrome, Firefox, Safari)

We're also planning desktop applications for Windows, macOS, and Linux in future updates.

Yes, completely. ClientN never requires or stores your:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Physical address
  • Any other personal identifying information

Each website you connect to receives a unique, randomly generated ID that cannot be linked back to you or connected to your other accounts. We built ClientN from the ground up with privacy as the core principle.

No, this is impossible with ClientN. Each website receives a completely unique identifier that has no relationship to the identifiers used on other sites. Unlike email-based authentication where the same email is used everywhere, ClientN ensures true isolation between your different online activities.

This means companies cannot build cross-site profiles of your behavior or sell your data to advertisers based on your activity across multiple websites.

ClientN collects the absolute minimum data required to function:

  • The anonymous IDs we generate for your connections
  • Encrypted authentication tokens
  • Basic usage statistics (anonymous and aggregated)

We do NOT collect, store, or have access to your browsing history, personal information, or any data from the websites you visit. Our business model is based on subscription fees, not data monetization.

Security is paramount at ClientN. We employ:

  • End-to-end encryption for all communications
  • Industry-standard cryptographic protocols
  • Regular third-party security audits
  • Zero-knowledge architecture (we can't access your data even if we wanted to)
  • Multi-factor authentication options

Before launch, we'll publish our security audit results and maintain transparency about our security practices.

Never. This is a core promise of ClientN. We don't collect personal data to sell in the first place. Our business model is based on fair, transparent subscription pricing. Your privacy is our product, not something we compromise for profit.

We're committed to maintaining this principle forever. It's literally the reason ClientN exists.

ClientN includes secure backup and recovery mechanisms. You can:

  • Set up encrypted cloud backup (your data remains encrypted and we can't access it)
  • Use a recovery phrase (like cryptocurrency wallets)
  • Export your identities to a secure backup file

If you lose your device, you can restore all your anonymous identities to a new device using your recovery method. Your connections to websites remain intact.

ClientN Mailbox is your anonymous email inbox. Here's how it works:

  • When a website needs to email you, messages are delivered through ClientN
  • You receive all emails in the ClientN app
  • The website never knows your real email address
  • You can block any sender instantly with one tap
  • Blocked senders can't tell they've been blocked

It's like having a disposable email for every website, but managed in one place.

For new accounts, yes absolutely - that's ClientN's primary use case. For existing accounts that already have your email, the situation is different:

Some websites may allow you to switch your authentication method to ClientN while keeping your existing account data. However, they'll still have the personal information you previously provided. ClientN is most effective when used from the start of your relationship with a website.

We're working with partners to develop migration tools for certain scenarios.

Yes, websites need to integrate ClientN authentication. However, we're making this as easy as possible:

  • Simple API integration (often just a few lines of code)
  • Comprehensive documentation and support
  • SDKs for major programming languages
  • Benefits for websites: reduced data liability, easier compliance, privacy-conscious users

We're actively partnering with websites before launch to ensure broad support from day one.

ClientN will be priced affordably with multiple plan options to suit different needs – from individual users to families and businesses.

We're committed to making privacy accessible to everyone. Our pricing will be transparent, fair, and competitive. We earn through subscriptions, never by selling your data.

Specific pricing details will be announced closer to our H2 2026 launch. Join our waitlist to be among the first to know and receive exclusive early-bird discounts.

Yes, absolutely. Anonymity doesn't mean immunity from consequences. Websites can still:

  • Ban specific ClientN IDs for violating their terms of service
  • Implement fraud detection and prevention
  • Block suspicious activity
  • Enforce their community rules

ClientN protects your privacy, but doesn't protect you from legitimate moderation or security measures. Websites retain full control over who can access their services.

We're building ClientN with our community! You can:

  • Join our waitlist to get updates and share feedback
  • Submit feature ideas on our website
  • Apply to be a beta tester (coming in 2026)
  • Spread the word about privacy-first authentication
  • If you're a developer, join our developer program

Every piece of feedback helps us build a better product.

ClientN focuses on authentication, not payment processing. For financial transactions:

  • Use your preferred payment method (credit card, PayPal, etc.)
  • Your ClientN identity authenticates who you are for the service
  • Payment details are handled by the website's payment processor, not ClientN

We're exploring partnerships with privacy-focused payment providers for future integration.
